Are there and cost of living scholarships/grants for DeVry University students?
I am going to the Westminster, CO campus and seeing as how the economy sucks so bad and it is so difficult to find a job I feel the only option I have left before I have to bail out of my lease (which I don’t have the money for either) is to get some kind of cost of living scholarship. I just finished with my associates and just started working towards my bachelors degree in electronic engineering. So any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you!
Some friends of mine at the uni told me that they have valuable information regarding scholarships from this place.
Good luck
Does anyone have a degree from an online college or university?
Could you give me the pros and cons of the school you received your degree from? Or possibly some insight on what it’s like to obtain an online degree? And how open the employment world is to accepting it’s credibility?
I am attending Western Governors University. It is a great school. It is fully accredited and has the cheapest tuition I have found. I plan on graduating this July, it has taken me 1 year to do all 4 years of my bachelors degree. The drawback to this school is that there really is no teachers- you basically teach yourself. If you can, it is the only route to go. I have gotten some job offers for my field (Business) but I am going to get my MBA and try to go to law school. I don’t think that the world liks down on the degree, it would depend on where you wanted to work.
Is a person holding a bachelors degree from a distance education university eligible for appearing CAT(IIM).?
Is a person holding a bachelors degree from a distance education university is eligible for getting admissions in IIM or ISB ?
Any undergraduate degree
As long as the University is recognised by the UGC
except one from an ‘Open University System’
I don’t think that your mark sheets or your degree certificate will have any mention of it being from a distance learning programme.
you should have 60+%
work experience is an advantage
did Devry university has a good Reputation in the US and around the world ?
also can you get a job if you have Devry university name in your resume .
In most cases, no. I almost made the mistake of going to grad school at DeVry this fall. They tried to strong arm me into enrolling and staying there. I then did some research and people did not think too highly of DeVry or any for-profit school. I read and watched many reactions about people who went to these schools, and many couldn’t find a good job afterwards. One guy graduated from ITT tech with a $78,000 bachelors degree. He could only find jobs in the $12 to $15 an hour range.
A lot of these schools promise you the moon, and a lot fail to the deliever. $78,000 is a lot to gamble on a for-profit school education.
