Are there and cost of living scholarships/grants for DeVry University students?
I am going to the Westminster, CO campus and seeing as how the economy sucks so bad and it is so difficult to find a job I feel the only option I have left before I have to bail out of my lease (which I don’t have the money for either) is to get some kind of cost of living scholarship. I just finished with my associates and just started working towards my bachelors degree in electronic engineering. So any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you!
Some friends of mine at the uni told me that they have valuable information regarding scholarships from this place.
Good luck
I am currently enrolled at DeVry University and would like to become a member of Delta Sigma Theta.?
I am a undergraduate but the school doesn’t have a university campus in the city where I reside. Is there any way I can still plegde? I am a working adult whose going back to school for my bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management.
Hi there,
I would check and see if there is a city-wide chapter that your school is a part of. If not, then your only other options are contacting National Headquarters to find out how you can establish a chapter on your college campus *Please be mindful that this can take a long time, and can be very costly to accomplish* , If you ever decide to transfer, you can transfer to a school that has an active chapter (although I wouldn’t recommend this option, especially if you are happy and content at DeVry), and your only other option is waiting until you graduate and try joining a graduate chapter.
Good luck to you!
Has anyone gotten a college degree online?
If you’ve gotten a college degree online, or at least taken a few courses online, how would you rate the experience? Would you recommend it?
My husband and I both attend our local community college through online classes, I also take traditional classes on campus. My husband will achieve his first Associates next semester in Computer Information Systems. I am working now towards in associates in Business Office Technology. My husband plans to get another associates immediately following this one, and he wants to transfer to a 4 year program after we move to Alaska in a few years, but he will continue his education here until then. I as well want to transfer to a 4 year program and my ultimate goal is to attend law school.
Background aside. I love online classes and so does my husband. Most people aren’t prepared for them actually being work. I enjoy it being to work some of my course work around my schedule in online classes. When I have to go to a campus class, i have to go on certain days no matter what. With online classes I usually have some variance of scheduling as long as my work is done when assigned. I like being able to study at home, in an environment I am comfortable in. Sometimes in campus classes I feel like Im having to compromise my study habits because of other people.
Now my husband really wants to take campus classes, and I want to take more online classes (ive only taken 5). So touche lol. I think online classes have been a great experience for me and my husband. Try them out!
